Well as many of you know I tend to sometimes get lost, luckily this was lost in a national park! I went to go check out this amazing spot and realized that it was an hour long hike. It ended up switching around my day but I was so grateful to find my way to another national park! I missed out on some fossils, and some aboriginal artifacts but I’ll be sure to see some on the road.

I got to enjoy the beautiful National Park of Booderee! It was truly something amazing. There were so many wonderful wild life, rocks, cliffs, and I went on a very very long hike that I was not expecting to go on! Ha

I made my way to Ulladulla for lunch and a place called Foxy's Cafe was having a dolly day 🫶🏼 everyone there was truly lovely, taught me how to order a coffee in Australia and showed me some of their beautiful animal encounters.

First Moth: Penelope
First Moth: Penelope

I had a strange encounter with a new friend, a moth flew into my window and rode with me. It was really nice to have a little pet while I am away. We drove together for a good hour or so yesterday.

I left my blanket in the car so it could hide in the dark (sadly she passed & I buried her by some flowers). She was struggling to fly at all in the car and my guess is she was injured on her landing into the moving vehicle.

The place I stayed- wow! I felt honestly a little out of place at first. Showing up in a t-shirt, shorts and smelling like the ocean. Once I got cleaned up it was lovely. It was called the Oaks Ranch, lovely views, kangaroos, a golf course and pool even! It is funny to think about how different I feel on a golf course now, not a stranger but it feels like a distant friend. I know her well, but we do not keep up like we used to.

Dinner was amazing and the views. I sat and had dinner by myself while reading a book my brother Nate lent me. I felt like I was having dinner with him in a way. Less lonely when you are reading than if you are on your phone. I ordered seafood to feel like I was with Jacey & Bri, my seafood loving family. The family next to me was talking about how their parents have favorite children and I felt right at home.

The staff here was lovely, even ordered a new dessert, an English Ice Cream Sandwich as the server called it.

Last night was the brightest the moon will be all year, harvest moon. I went and looked at it, laying on the course thinking about how different life is now than last year. What my golf course experiences have been this year vs last. So many wild things. I think I figured out that my phone tends to make me feel alone. When I’m relying on it then I tend to lose myself. I get to caught up in the dopamine drive for affection and attention that I lose the attention with myself.

I was also being ran into by moth after moth, not really knowing what it meant, I looked into it. They were landing on me, hitting me in the face and even this morning 6 outside my door.

Moths symbolize transformation, intuition, and the soul's quest for truth and light through darkness. Their core spiritual meanings include transformation, as moths undergo metamorphosis, representing personal growth and rebirth. They also embody faith in darkness, using moonlight to navigate, which teaches us to trust our path even amidst uncertainty.

Their nocturnal nature links them to intuition and shadows, associated with hidden knowledge and inner wisdom. Moths are often regarded as spirit messengers, seen as greetings from ancestors or deceased loved ones. The meaning of moths can also vary by color: white signifies fresh starts, peace, or messages from ancestors; brown represents grounding, practical wisdom, and humility; while black indicates the end of a challenging cycle or the need for deep shadow work.

Last night I saw a couple brown and black. This morning many white and brown moths.

I think my next tattoo will be of a moth. I have some great ideas…

Today I will be headed a bit more down the coast, some water and some fun things. I am starting to miss the company of people so maybe for dinner tonight I’ll head into the city!
