October 1 & 2- The Wedding
October 1-
Today Keira showed me her school, not only where she teaches but where she went as well. It’s returning the favor of when she toured my high school.
It was so different in a good day, it made me miss the education system a bit. Not that I’d want to go back but being able to help kids learn science is something I’m coming to terms with a bit more. I loved doing science with the kids I’ve watched, and then I get to learn a bit more about it too.
She has such passion for the work that she does and you can really see that in the way that she talks about it. Sometimes I feel a little envious about people enjoying their work so much. I think I have such a hard time finding passion in what I do work wise. Haven’t found my calling yet, or I am meant to do so many things that the freedom that I have with my current workload is what I’m meant to be doing.
I know I am exactly where I am meant to be a living life as I should. The path for me is the path I’m on. Part of me gets too caught up in the moment not in the best of ways. When I have too much time in my day I think my OCD gets a little too caught up in my head.
Then we went to set up for her wedding!!! The venue is gorgeous, pretty, simple and honestly so lovely. It got me thinking about what mine would be like, or if I even want one. It’s a bit weird where it was something I thought I wanted and now I’m living day to day knowing that’s all I can do haha
After setting up for her wedding we went back to her place, had some left overs and watched criminal minds. A show that I’ve truly missed, for those who have seen it we are about to hit Hoch’s arc with the Reaper!
October 2-
Wedding day! Keira and Ben got married!
I had the honor of watching her get all fancy and dressed. Isaac put on her veil and it’s a lot more difficult than I thought it would be.
I am so grateful to Isaac, Ryan, Brooke, Georgia, Paris and Tess for being such incredible people to Keira and that I finally got to meet all of them. Over the years I’ve heard a lot about everyone but only had the opportunity to meet Ben, and your sister while doing some dropping off or picking up. So it was nice to put people to the names. Meeting your parents as well really helped complete the picture of how you got to be the fierce, strong, caring, and incredible person you are today.
BENNN! Welcome to the family, officially! I am so glad that Keira was able to find someone who truly adds to her happiness, she can find a safe space in, and someone who’s just as big of a freak as she is 😉
On a serious note, Ben, you have a lovely group of people surrounding you as well who all have nothing but amazing things to say about you. Thank you for welcoming me into your family as well. I am grateful to have met the people who help made and make you the person you are today, your friends, Mitchell, Gilbert, Will, your parents, and sister. You are truly surrounded with so much love and am so glad that you and Keira's families are combining to become your own family.
I am so grateful to have been able to be there for it, to see her all fancied up as a first look with friends and to all the welcoming people last night. Keira, you truly do surround yourself with some incredible people. They are all so funny, to keep you laughing on hard days. They are all so kind, to remind you of the good in the world and things to look forward to do. And they are all so truly proud of you, love you and Ben. It is so amazing to see the community you have and the people who are family to you. (Including real family) I am so thankful to be apart of that.
